These are my thoughts on life and living it. Intelligent discourse welcomed. Humorous anecdotes will be interspersed with information and opinions. It's yet a work in progress, though progress will be made. Here, at the Daily Renegade, we’ll (I, for now, but I'm very interested in gathering like minded people together) try to make you laugh. We’ll try to make you think, and we’ll try to keep you informed. It’s just an OpEd piece to point out things to you, you might have otherwise missed. Since our goal is to create dialogue about things that are important, please leave your thoughts in the comments section. Of course, not all of life is politics. We’ll try to have things unrelated to the Great American Circus. Unfortunately, however, most things have some legislation pertaining to them, therefore politics tries very hard to be in most of life. When that happens we’ll do all we can to spin it toward the politically moderate middle, where common sense prevails (or so we hope and pray). We don’t support the Left’s ‘Live Birth Act’ or the Right’s ‘selling our country to the highest bidder behind closed doors routine (i.e. Haliburton).’ We applaud free thought and the free exchange of ideas, and we don’t pull our punches. We can’t change the world single-handedly, overnight. We can bring people together to fight the ‘divide and conquer’ attitude of those elitists who want to tell us what’s best for us, and those morons who don’t even know what’s best for themselves. In both of those cases, names may be omitted to protect the guilty. This is for anyone who has ever gone to cast their ballot and wanted a legitimate 3rd option. Those who stare at a Presidential Debate and think of tweedle-dee and tweedle-dum. Those who find it ironic that Independent is now a party, and Nader is no longer the candidate of the party he started (I heard he’s not “Green” enough); Those who know that it’s not the task of one individual, but of many to rise above the madness; Those who find no irony left in the phrase “radically moderate,” and understand that common sense is woefully uncommon. Yes, Pepper Spray Cop, the very symbol of world politics today: a bloated blue line between oligarchic overlords and the mob they strip of all but enough sustenance to harvest again next year. Swinging his indiscriminate poison, he waters the tree of liberty with the tears of idealistic youth — blast their hopes and blight their lives, Amen.
